1 Midland & Great Northern Railway large cast iron Trespass Notice. v.g.c. Face restored, back painted. 13 North Eastern Railway cast iron “Zero" Plate still affixed to its ‘T’ section iron support. 900mm. (35.5in) tall.
2 LNER 2 aspect Drivers Handlamp. Body embossed “LNER Loco". Brass plate to top. “C.Barnes 1084 Colchester". Complete with vessel, “LNER" burner, reflector and all glasses. v.g.c. lightly restored only. 14 GWR fully titled cast iron “Rights of Way Act 1932" Notice. v.g.c. and face restored only.
3 “Leeds Tramways 156" gilt Cap Badge. “Leeds" is in cut out lettering, the nickel numbers applied. A stippled background with oak leaf wreath and a roped top edge. An early impressive badge in superb condition. 62x58mm. 15 Model of British Rail HST Power Car No. 43070 and part of first coach in Intercity 125 livery. Made by Space Models for displaying in travel agents / BR agencies. Very well crafted and finished and on its original display base. 1140mm. (45in.) long.
4 “GWR Hotels" silver plated Coffee Spoon by Walker & Hall. Nicely top marked with roundel & scroll device. v.g.c. 16 Double sided Enamel Sign. “Wills’s Capstan Navy Cut Cigarettes / Wills’s Gold Flake Cigarettes". One significant chip to each face otherwise v.g.c. with good colour and shine. An unusual sign with scalloped corners and two suspension holes. 608x458mm. (24x18in.)
5 Locomotive Cab Regulator Handle from LNER ‘A4’ Pacific No. 2512 / 60017 “Silver Fox". Removed from the loco whilst in store at New England Depot prior to despatch to Doncaster Works for cutting up in Dec. 1963. 670mm. (26.4in) long. Part chrome plated. 17 Aluminium Single Line Key Token engraved “Copplestone - Eggesford". Restored from the former LSWR Coleford Jct. - Barnstaple Line. “Copplestone" engraved over the original ground off location. See further lots for other section keys from this line.
6 Brass and enamelled Lapel Badge “Borough of Torquay. Licensed Hackney Carriage Driver 96". The number on an ornate panel below the town arms. v.g.c. 35mm. dia. 18 Oval cast aluminium South African Railways Bi-Lingual Locomotive Cabside Numberplate “36.103 36". Very good ex-loco condition. Ex Bo-Bo Diesel Electric 1170HP Loco Type SG10B built by General Electric Co. 41382 of 1981.
7 LNER cast iron Doorplate “Store Room". v.g.c. and face restored only. 19 Section of Caledonian Railway cast iron Balustrading which once adorned the company’s Princes Street, Edinburgh Hotel. Featuring the “CR" monogram and sprays of thistles this is a superb piece of Victorian ironwork. Stripped of paint and ready for primer. 990x800mm. overall. (39x31.5in).
8 Cast iron Wagon Plate “The North Central Wagon Company Limited Rotherham Owners 40486" with a “NC" monogram to centre. A large rounded diamond shape. Unrestored. 280x220mm. 20 BR(S) fully flanged enamel station Totem Sign “Mottingham". Two small re-touched chips only to edges of top & bottom panels otherwise very good condition with superb colour & shine. A former SER station between Hither Green and Sidcup opened as Eltham in 9/1866, renamed Eltham for Mottingham 4/1916 and Mottingham in 9/1927.
9 Pair of unmarked GWR cast iron Luggage Rack Brackets with integral coat hooks. Very good original condition. Each projects 330mm. (13in). 21 “L&NWR Co. 5" oval cast iron Bridge Numberplate. Restored a while ago.
10 “Great Central Railway Builders" small oval cast brass Barrow Plate. Superb little item with a dished back. Face restored. 72x42mm. (2.8x1.7in.) 22 Three Southern Rly. brass cased ‘Syx’ Signal Repeaters. All in good condition. One needle not pivotting. (3)
11 “Furness Railways" cast iron Trespass Notice. Dated “April 1915". A fairly scarce notice in v.g.c. Face restored only. 23 Oval cast iron aluminium Locomotice Shedplate “86A" (Cardiff Canton). Ex-loco condition.
12 Great Northern Railway wooden Signal Finial. An early and scarce survivor as most of these were replaced with cast iron examples. v.g.c. 775mm. (30.5in) tall. 24 Wooden Signal Box Nameboard “Huttons Ambo" in applied letters. A former NER box near Malton on the York-Scarborough line. v.g.c. and very nicely face restored only. 1547x268mm. (60x10.5in).
