Large oval cast brass Locomotive Builders Plate “Andrew Barclay Sons & Co. Limited Caledonia Works Kilmarnock No. 344. 1941”. As carried by WD standard type 0-4-0 Diesel Mech. Loco 153HP No. 869. Ex works Jan 1941 to R.O.F. Bishopton as their No. 3. To various Army & Navy establishments between 1965 and 1972 (Bicester, East Riggs and Dean Hill). To Lakeside & Haverthwaite Rly. July 1980 except the engine which was returned to Bicester. Dismantled by 1984 and scrapped. The plate is in fine condition face restored only. 426x296mm. (16.75x11.6in). |

The body stamped “LNER 1958” has a full title company brass plate stamped “Doncaster Min” (i.e. Minerals). Complete with “BR(E)” fore & aft vessel, burner, reflector and all glasses. Nicely restored. |

LNER oval cast iron Works Number Plate “London & North Eastern Railway 69107 Darlington Works 1903” as carried by ex-North Eastern Rly ‘U’ Class 0-6-2T which became LNER Class ‘N10’ No. 1711. A class of only 19 locos. A Hull Dairycoates Loco all of its BR life until withdrawal in Nov. 1957. It was cut up at Darlington Works in Jan 1958. Face restored only. |
